A Little Help From A Friend...

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

The Easter Bunny Doesn't Wash His Hands...

Liam is convinced the Easter Bunny has already come to our house, several times, in the past few months. In fact, he thinks the Easter Bunny has broken into our house, come into his bedroom, stared at him while he slept, and then poked him in the forehead. Honestly. No joking. This is what he told me...several times.

I'm surprised the Easter Bunny hasn't freaked him and out. Because it has certainly freaked me out.

But I think he pushes past his fear and is looking forward to the candy the Easter Bunny represents. So, I use this to my advantage to keep him under control. If he's good the Easter Bunny will hide candy, games, money galore! But if he isn't good, the Easter Bunny will hide his own poop in those plastic eggs. That isn't what concerns Liam. No. It's this: "How does his poop get into those eggs? Does he wash his hands?"

Jeez Liam. I don't think he washes his hands at all...

Face lift...

I'm diggin' how I can change the background of my blog (thanks Emily for inspiring me)...this may increase the amount of blogs that I write because it's just fun to see how cute I can make this sucker!

Life in general is stressing me out...I wonder if they have a skull and cross bones I could add to my blog backgrounds...because honestly, I feel as though I could go ape shit on someone.

Winter Fun...

Yesterday Mom, Dad, Liam, and I took a trip to Barron to see my sister, Jacob, and Anna. We had so much fun! We took off in our vehicles about an hour after getting to her house and went to Jacob and Anna's school and found a beautiful hill to go sledding down. We were the only ones there and the hill was PERFECT! Not too steep...not too fast...but just enough zoom to make everyone happy. The kids were busting out runs left and right and even the adults, including myself, got in on the action. I think the best part of the day, besides just being together, was when Dad decided he needed to get in on the action...He went down the hill, although on all 4's...he still whizzed past the kids with his busted up hand and all! Next time, it's mom turn for some sledding action! She may need some coaching, and perhaps an experienced driver :), but she's gotta go!

I thank God everyday I have a wonderful set of parents, a beautiful sister that has blessed me with a loving neice and nephew, a happy and healthy son, and a husband that would do anything for me. Life can't get any better...

Eflex Can Suck It...

Okay. Eflex is great at saving me money...but I swear! It's such a pain in the ass when they're wanting documentation on how you spent your own money. For example. I can buy $30 worth of "items" at Walmart and never have them request a receipt. I pay $5.92 cents (to use up the rest of my money from 2009), towards my 2009 bill at Marshfield Clinic and they're all over me for a receipt like flies on shit! Seriously! I could have purchased candy bars, pop, oil for my car at Walmart and they require nothing. But I pay towards a bill at a health clinic and they act like I'm purchasing a car there! And then the e-mails start coming...I feel as though I'm being harassed. The latest one said: "You are unable to use 2010 funds towards services that happened in 2009." Honestly, didn't they see when my flex card was used? DOS: 12/31/09 bastards! Get off my back Eflex...I'M BEGINNING TO HATE YOU!

Perhaps I should have written this post several days later, when I wasn't so angry...but to tell you the truth? I'm secretly hoping someone on my blog list works at Eflex and will fix my nightmare...Kind of like how a relative who is a cop can get rid of a misc. parking ticket...ha!

The Pukes...

Ugh. Liam woke up yesterday morning and was traipsing through the bathroom to let Rosie out of the laundry room. All of a sudden I hear...a splash. Then 5 more splashes after it. I ran into the bathroom...he's leaning over the toilet, heaving. He was crying and all that he could say was: "This sucks." Poor punkie.

So, I called in the big guns. Grandma and Grandpa. They insisted on watching him so I could go to work and get caught up (I was just gone a couple of days before New Years because Liam had "what looked like pneumonia"). All parties were cozy as a bug in a rug when I got home. Mom was elated that she got to hold Liam all day and Dad was dodging mouth kisses from Liam...Grandma and Grandpa are the best medicine...

Love & Logic...

So, this "Love & Logic" book has been talked about in several conversations held between my girlfriends and I. We all seem to have have unruly toddlers and soon to be preschoolers. We've heard this book has worked miracles and we're all itching to get our hands on it. So today, I took my VISA check card, headed to Borders, and vowed that even if this mystical book cost me $50, it would be give me back $100 + in happiness.

So in I marched. "Where is the Parenting Section please?" The nice lady, who seemed to know I was on a mission, pointed me towards the back of the store. I'm sure the "Parenting Section" was placed at the back of the store for a reason and I'm also positive that many parental breakdowns had to have occurred in this taboo section on a regular basis. But on I went...I scoured the shelves....nothing. I got down on my hands and knees...still nothing. And then. There it was! The only copy on the shelf! It frightened me that so many people needed this book to gain control over their children. It also frightened me that someone could swoop in behind me and steal the only copy on the shelf! So I grabbed it up and said a silent prayer: "God please let this help stop all the yelling in my house." And off I went to purchase my "Holy Grail."

Consider yourself warned Liam. I will soon know what makes you tick...what makes you un-tick, and how to get you to do what I want you to do without even asking you to do it! (insert evil laugh...muuuuaaahhh!). Game on short stuff.
